Renting Long-Term
Advice for tenants and landlords — from the contract to the deposit.
A written contract
Always sign a written contract: rent, term, deposit, who pays utilities, and termination terms. A verbal agreement won't protect you in a dispute.
The deposit
One month's rent is standard practice. State clearly in the contract when and under what conditions the deposit is returned.
Move-in inventory
At handover, record an inventory: furniture, appliances, existing defects. Take photos — this protects both parties.
For tenants
Make sure the person you sign with is the real owner. On Owners.ge, prefer listings from verified owners.
